"Once" yesterday

The evening meal in Chile is called "Once" pronounced in English like Onsay.

We had supper at Hancel y Gretel.

Chacareros

A Chilean sandwich made with steak tomato, hot peppers and green beans.

Armando has this and I tried a few bites. It was delicious! I am definitely going to get one of those sandwiches the next time we go somewhere that offers them.

I had this:

A Lucuma Milkshake and Apple Strudel.  It was very good.

Now that's one good looking sandwich. It looks like a lot of food for lunch.

I'm not sure how a Lucuma milkshake would be, but the apple strudel looks yummy.

I read some more of 'the book' today. I still find it interesting. I'll get to read more this weekend and maybe finish. I bouoght a couple of novels by the author because her book mentions that she uses members of her family as patterns for some of the characters.

I'm so happy that the two of you are having a good trip. Take care of yourself and don't over-do. After all you need to be ready to hold and coo over the new baby. It won't be long now.

I am a vegetarian and I can even say that looks delicious. My husband would BE in Heaven with that sandwich. WOW!

Funny, we ate at the same restaurant on our last Chile trip, if it's the same one of the chain along the road between Santiago and Vina. The food was delicious! Be well,
J.

The sandwich does look good. I am so simple I have never heard of beans on a sandwich.
Tell me more about the milkshake.
I want one of those umbrellas for the pool to keep me in the shade.
It was fun to see the money too.

I am going to go read about the rest of the trip so far.

Come see the video of Babar palying with his toy!

Love,
Kat
